Legendary Pu-erh Tea Master Lu Li-Chen & Artisanal Teas from Taiwan
Mr. Lu (or Lü Li Zhen) is the main artisan behind the revival of Yiwu's brick and mortar artisanal Pu-erh (Puer) tea cake. In the 1990s, Mr. Lu and the surviving local craftsmen brought back the micro tea makers' traditional Puer cake methodology after decades of demise. Yiwu, home to high-quality Raw Puer Tea on the southern border of China, is once again bustling with artisans crafting this centennial craft was revived. The region now thrives with Puer creation.
Mr. Lu's Puer has been decorated with multiple accolades for many years that Puer has come back to life. His streaks include the grad prize in 2010 for his Zhenwei Hao, the signature premium Puer. He's also been at the forefront of promoting Taiwan's artisanal oolong tea for the past couple of decades, starting with his helming position at the international tea association.

The king of high mountain oolong
High mountain oolong is highly regarded for its orchid aroma and sweet, clean flavor. Reaching the heights of 2700m above sea level, Dayuling tea area on the Hehuan Mountain stands at about 2500m at the highest area -- the highest in Taiwan and higher than the Darjeeling estates in India.
